Milwaukee Downtown Transit Connector Study
Providing
technical assistance and report writing services. Bay Ridge Consulting prepared
the Scoping Information Document the Scoping Summary Report, the
Conceptual Definition of Alternatives, and the Detailed Definition of
Alternatives. The Milwaukee Downtown Transit Connector Study includes
analyses of various improvement alternatives including bus on exclusive
right-of-way and light rail transit for downtown Milwaukee.
Metra Circumferential Rail Service Feasibility Study
The
study will identify, evaluate and recommend a set of rail alternatives for two
circumferential corridors. The inner circumferential commuter rail corridor
could potentially connect radial commuter rail lines and O’Hare International
Airport with Chicago suburbs. The outer circumferential commuter rail corridor
is over 100 miles and connects the ring of communities that are approximately 35
miles from Chicago’s loop.
Transportation Alternatives Analysis for the
Dane County/Greater Madison Metropolitan Area
Public
involvement activities. This study is considering various transportation
improvement options including rail transit and bus rapid transit in the central
Madison area. Bay Ridge Consulting supports the public involvement activities
through stakeholder interviews, press release preparation, development of
informational materials, and coordinating various public involvement tasks.
Transportation Study for Wisconsin 16
Provided
planning support for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation corridor study
connecting La Crosse and Onalaska. Specific responsibilities included
documenting existing transit, bicycle and pedestrian facilities and documenting
the purpose and need of the study.
Transit Operations and Maintenance Cost Model for Charlotte, North
Carolina
Developed
a cost model and manual to be applied in four concurrent major investment
studies of transit options in Charlotte. Modes being considered include light
rail transit, expanded bus, and commuter rail options.
Milwaukee-Madison Passenger Rail Corridor Study
Prepared
an executive summary of the Environmental Assessment to be widely
distributed in Wisconsin. The Milwaukee-Madison corridor is part of the Midwest
Regional Rail Initiative, and is expected to implement high-speed passenger rail
service in 2005.
